Scrambling is best described as the grey area between hillwalking and climbing, usually defined as "a walk up steep terrain involving the use of one's hands", and may or may not involve ropework. It is an essential skill for attempting some of the UK's more serious mountain walks such as the Black Cuillin in Skye, but also offers an interesting alternative approach to many hills in Wales, the Lake District and Scotland. In previous years, scrambling courses have been popular with members, and we're hoping to gauge interest to see if we should run another one this year.
If you would be interested in attending a scrambling course on the Mystery Trip, please indicate on this webform by the deadline of 4pm on Sunday 8th May. Note that this is NOT a formal sign up or commitment to attending the course or the trip, merely an expression of interest. If enough people express interest for the course to go ahead, the official sign-up will be opened in the run up to the trip.
The price is likely to be around £140 per person, with up to a 50% subsidy by the AGTF if you're an active club member
