We will be running a two-day scrambling course on our Mystery Trip, 17-19 June 2022, for people interested in taking part.
No prior experience of scrambling is required; you just have to be fine with heights and exposed environments. There are a total of nine places available. The nine of you (max) will be divided into three groups, each with its own instructor. If you let us know how experienced (or not) you are when signing up, we'll aim to group people by experience.
The price of the course is £160. We are applying to the Andy Gibson Training Fund (AGTF) for a subsidy that would cover 40% of this cost for active CUHWC members. If this application is successful, the price for the two days' training course will be £96 in total, while the trip fee will be the usual £46. While we are hopeful that the application for AGTF funding will be successful, anyone signing up agrees to pay £160 if it is not.
If you would like to attend the scrambling course on the Mystery Trip, please signup here by 4pm this Saturday May 14th.
Those who get places on the Scrambling Course will be guaranteed a place on the Mystery Trip.
Signup for the Mystery Trip itself will open closer to the date.
If you sign up and then drop out you will still be required to pay the course fee unless a replacement can be found.
