Scrambling course expression of interest, 8th-10th June

Scrambling is best described as the grey area between hillwalking and climbing, usually defined as "a walk up steep terrain involving the use of one's hands", and may or may not involve ropework. It is an essential skill for attempting some of the UK's more serious mountain walks such as the Black Cuillin in Skye, but also offers an interesting alternative approach to many hills in Wales, the Lake District and Scotland. In previous years, the scrambling course run by Kendall Mountaineering Services has proved popular with CUHWC members, and we are hoping to gauge interest in running another one.

If you would be interested in attending a scrambling course on the Duddon Valley trip, please indicate on this webform before Friday 18th May. Note that this is NOT a formal sign up or commitment to attending the course or the trip, merely an expression of interest. If enough people express interest for the course to go ahead, the official sign-up will be opened next weekend (19th-20th May).

The price is likely to be around £120 pp, with up to a 50% subsidy by the AGTF if you're an active club member
