Our first CUHWC formal of term will be at Lucy Cavendish College from 7PM on Thurs, May 11th.
Join us for what promises to be a great meal (and company); also, there is a higher than average chance that Andrew Marr will be there (the president's husband). If that's not quite enough to convince you, there will be a sherry reception, 3 course dinner (with great vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and halal options available - not just fruit for dessert, I promise!), coffee/tea and 2 glasses of red or white wine per person, included in the meal price. Lucky for us, the catering staff are very accommodating for large groups so there is no real upper limit for this social, we just ask that you sign up here before noon on Mon, May 8th.
Tickets are £17.65 per person, payable to the club account. PLEASE NOTE: In order to protect the people who have booked tickets for formals, this term we will have the understanding that by signing up, you are confirming your place. If you are unable to come closer to the time of a formal, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to to find someone to take your place. If unable to find a replacement, it will be your responsibility to pay the ticket price.
The astute among you will see that this is the same night as our club pub meet, so the plan will be to stagger over to the Castle Inn after for 9:30PM(ish). Thankfully, it's only 2 streets away. Even if you can't make the meal, do join us after in the pub!
