Post-completion trip
Ruth and I are planning to stay in the Highlands for the rest of the week, most probably heading further north and camping. You are welcome and encouraged to join us.
Knoydart and Assynt / the far Northwest have been suggested, but other areas will be considered.
Please add your name below if you're interested, including details of what you'd like to do, where you'd like to go, any travel plans, and until when you'd stay.
- David - I'm keen to bag Corbetts or Munro Tops, which doesn't rule out many areas! Happy to go backpacking or do day walks. Will be driving. Heading home (Derby) on Saturday 1st June.
- Ruth - My first choice is the Knoydart area. Second choice is the far north (to include An Teallach and Ben More Assynt!). Third choice is Glen Etive. Lift back to Carnforth with David on 1st June.
- Jo - Not too fussed, ideally some Munro-bagging, like the idea of Knoydart but pretty easy really. Can stay till 2 June. Lift back to Derby with David.
- Alison - Planning to stay for the week. Keen to go to Knoydart, or most things north of the Great Glen. Happy to go backpacking.
Pre-completion walk
Several of us will be staying in Edinburgh on Friday and Saturday nights and going to Ausma's concert (see below). We will walk somewhere day-trippable from Edinburgh on the Saturday: perhaps the Lomond Hills near Glenrothes.
Pre-completion concert
Ausma is playing in a concert in Edinburgh on Saturday evening, it would be fantastic to get a good crowd along, perhaps after a day trip from Edinburgh? We have a couple of spare mattresses and plenty of floor space and would be happy to put people up for the night (we're about a 15 minute walk from the concert venue).
